After the three days everything cleared up, but I was left easily winded after that. 6. : I had a severe exacerbation. Stuck in bed for three days for the second time. 7. : No, not for seven years. 8. : On the first doctor's visit I was given a PFT & X-ray. 9. : An RRT gave the test. The doctor gave the diagnosis in very hopeless terms, probably because he is a GP. 10. : Only as part of the PFT. 11. : Currently on Combivent @ 4 puffs 4 times a day and Advair twice a day. 12. : Beclovent & Vanceril 13. : None 14. : None 15. : No 16. : No problems so far. 17. : Pulmo prescribed rehab so that insurance would pay for it. Most of the time I am just on room air. 20. : I definitely do not get along with cold weather. Long before COPD, I moved to Texas from Missouri to try to escape the bitter coldness of winter. 21. : So far I have been lucky enough to have a full time desk job and an understanding boss. 22. : I am not on disability, yet. 23. : The company that I work for is 'self insured'. The benefits have been very good so far. I pay co-pays only for the doctor and prescriptions, rehab is fully covered. 24. : My pulmo has referred me for transplant evaluation. That will probably start during Dec. '03. 25. : I would welcome any questions from anyone who has enough faith to think that I may have an answer. I check the e-mail address listed above every day, usually in the evening. 26. : People believe that COPD is a death sentence. But I don't see it that way. Conception is a death sentence. Once life starts, it has an end. What you do in the middle part is what counts. 27. : Former smoker of 40 years. 28. : A couple of times a week. 29. : Avelox® (moxifloxacin hydrochloride) 30. : Not that I know of, but it may have been included in a blood test.
