Nurse was there and kept taking it because I felt so bad. 17 Yes Re-Hab in hospital which was treadmill and stationary bikes. This was after I was out six months. 18 Albuterol Sulfate 2.5 mg/3 ml in nebulizer no more often than every 4 hrs. 19 Use oxygen prn suppose to be on 2 liter at night by concentrator but don't use. I was always waking up with the tubes out and sleeping on them. Have a carry tank I take with me but seldom use.Probably need it more than I use it. 20 I am heat and cold intolerant, have bouts of incontinence, Only sleep 4 hrs at a time but that has been most of my life.I was diagnosed with connective tissue disease in 1989. So was on a lot of different drugs then. 21 No given Disability in 1989. 22 full disability 23 Medicare only Yes insufficient 24 No 25 Yes I am happy to answer questions E-mail is best for me. Always put Efforts in subject line so I won't delete 26 Not enought education to the public on COPD Myself included I had no idea what it was or anything about it. I was a paralegal for 15 years which did Social Security Disabiliy cases. I worked with Legal Services and carried my own caseload. I represented clients in Adminstrative Hearings for disability. I never had an emphysema case. I think this was because by the time Drs told the person they had it, they were so sick they were unable to get to office for help and were an automatic approval for disability. My cases consisted of disabilities I had to fight the system to obtain for the client. 27 Smoker about 50 years Stopped Jan 31, 1999 Day I was put in ICU 28 Yes I go to the grocery store and Wal-mart I walk my little dog (6# Precious) I drive and love to drive. I have friends that come by and want me to drive them around to pay bills and Drs appointments. I still do some needle work (cross stitch) and cooking. Much slower and more planned than I used to be. I have a stationary bike I don't use enough. I have trouble with ankles and Knees due to the connective tissue problem. Used to be able to get shower, dress and on the road packed for a road trip within 1 hour. Now lucky to be showered in an hour. Then need breathing treatment before I get shower. That is 15 to 20 minutes. Oh well I still enjoy living. 29 I guess it is prednisone 30 No not that I know of.Unless they did it when I was in ICU. The 1st 4 days I don't remember. Back To Profiles |
