| Our Presenter's
(Speakers) are educators from the University of Washington in Seattle:
Houng Nguyen, RN, ARNP, Assistant Professor and Lynn Reinke, RN, ARNP,
Research Assistant.... Presently working on a on-line "Shortness of Breath
Research Study". They may be reached through EFFORTS or the University of
Washington.
The donated items for drawings were 1) EFFORTS tee shirt ( local winner planned to wear it the next day to his rehab exercise class) - 2 & 3) books by Dr. Tom L. Petty," Adventures of an Oxy-phile" - 4) EFFORTS member, Lee Vogel's book, " " and 5) a folk art painted watering can. In appreciation: The Red Lion Hotel
for their donated room - our EFFORTS members able to come and show our
local COPDers a warm EFFORTS welcome - Barry, Lee, Mark, Deborah, Clint
and daughter, Laurie. Laurie is a living angel...she takes everything I
bring and turns it into a lovely EFFORTS "Welcoming Table"and looks after
it - thank you! Mark brought his Segway - his wife's present to him and
his lifeline back to the world. Mark showed us how it works and offered to
show anyone else outside after the meeting. I took reservations for 48
folks and almost all attendees were local COPDers and/or caregivers. ...
