James W. Cudworth, Jr. passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at his residence in Lockwood, NV. He was born on June 15, 1935 in San Francisco, CA to James W. and Bernice Thacker Cudworth. He was a life long resident of Nevada. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sparks, NV. Among his many interests were, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Edna Cudworth of Lockwood, NV; sons, Gene Cudworth of Reno, Jim Cudworth of Wilsonville, OR, Martin Cudworth of Fallon, NV; ;step-son, Charles Escovedo of Lockwood, NV; daughter, Karen Kroboth of Sparks, NV; step-daughter, Anita Hillyard of Cottonwood, CA; sister, Althea Hage of Winnemucca, NV; seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2005, 1:00 pm at Walton's Sparks Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane in Sparks. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to: The American Lung Association of Nevada, 6275 Neil Road, Reno, NV 89510.
