Jim, 79, passed away on Thursday, February
12, 2004, surrounded by his family in the Intensive Care Unit of Provena Saint
Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL. Ordell, Dennis and Jan, Diane and Dirk, Donald,
and Pastor Pam Pendexter were present. Prayers were lifted in his name. He
died of various complications as a result of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm surgery
on January 7, 2004. His heart ultimately gave out.
He was a man of few words, but very eloquent when it came to expressing
himself. Jim leaves memories to all who knew him of humor, laughter,
friendship, love and a will for life. He was an incredible man who touched a
lot of lives.
Jim has donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois so that
the dead may teach the living. The association is the legal representative of
all medical institutions within the State of Illinois.
For those who wish to remember Jim, donations may be given in his name to
EFFORTS (Emphysema Foundation For Our Right To Survive), Claycomo Plaza, 239
NE US Hwy 69, Suite D, Claycomo, MO 64119.
?A Celebration of His Life? will be private and announced at a later date.
Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement via e-mails, cards and
phone calls these past five weeks. They were truly appreciated. There is a
compassionate God in heaven Who sees, Who cares, Who comforts.
Our loved ones depart, but never their love and never the lessons they've taught
us, never their guidance, never their blessings, never the joys they've brought
us.
