March 9, 2005
Victoria K. Szymanski, 73, of Pollock Drive, Jenkins Township, died Wednesday in
Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, following an illness.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Matulis Locks.
She was a loving wife and homemaker. She had formerly resided in Southern
Shores, North Carolina; Ashland, New Jersey; and Waymart, Pennsylvania. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1993; brother, Paul; and nephew,
John.
Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn; brother, Frank Locks, Scranton; sister, Helene
Goodfellow, Scranton; sisters-in-law, Rose Locks Kane, Scranton; Adele
Szymanski, Peckville; grandson, Sean; nieces, Susan Goodfellow Rosenstein,
Endwell, New York; Wendy Locks Nole; and nephews, Paul Locks, and Paul
Goodfellow, both of Scranton; several great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements
are by Yanaitis Funeral Home, Plains.
